The undisputed worst pub in Southwell, a town blessed with a great number of good pubs. The is a typical Marstons generic pub undistinguished layout with a bar running across the back wall of the long oblong shaped room. Six hand pulls line the bar but no ale avaialble, not a single one! and not even a pump clip reversed just bare pumps, the bar man said they "might" be getting a delivery! this was no real shame as my only other previous visit here saw a lone pedigree available that was not kept very well and was a very poor drink. It was instead a average Guinness at a ridiculous price over £4! and even the standard keg lager will cost yo an arm and a leg here, i know its a wealthy village but this place really has nothing going for it to warrant these silly prices. literally only worth visiting if you want to complete the full set of Southwell pubs on a crawl like we did.

This large corner Marstons pub is another busy spot, with lots of people eating. The bar faces you on entry and to the left is a smaller room with pool table. There were three handpumps on the bar, the Marstons EPA was in good form.

The Crown Hotel is a corner pub that is very close to Southwell minster and Opposite the much better looking Saracens Head.
Once inside there is a fairly smart lounge type room, and the pub also does accomodation.
The pub was a Mansfield tied house with one real ale on the bar,it is more than likely a Marstons house now.
