Alan Winfield left this review about The Boatmans Home

The Boatmans Home was a typical hulme estate pub that was probably built in the late 60s.
This was a pretty grim looking pub that had a corner entrance, once inside i went into a largish room that was better than i expected it to be,the room was fairly comfortable and also very quiet on my visit.
When i went in this pub it was a Vaux tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Vaux Samson and this was a decent drink the other beer was Vaux bitter.
Sadly this pub has been pulled down and the whole area has now been redeveloped.
