Until recently, a “John Barras” themed pub. Originally a Coaching Inn, the White Hart stands at the bottom of Brislington Hill.
It’s had a new roof, lick of green paint and a degree of decorating inside. It’s a shame when a place as large as this gets refurbished and then the ongoing maintenance gets neglected afterwards. Broken windows and blown light bulbs say a lot!
When I visited with a friend on a Saturday lunchtime, the bar was totally empty and just two other people in the lounge. The Courage Best was not the best I have tasted and the yeast left in the bottom of the glass pointed towards a lack of line cleaning?
