12/02/2011 Party of 19. Pre-booked Saturday Night 6pm. What a fantastic meal we have just had. We were a large party of walkers in the area and phoned at noon. They cordoned off about 5 tables in its own area for us. Good menu with very varied choice. Most starters just under £5 but big servings. Main meals ranged from £7-13 with most tastes catered for. You record your table and order at the bar and extra staff attended when it got busy. The food was served quite quickly and was very hot. The waitresses were very courteous and did their job very professionally. The food was very tasty and cooked very well. The deserts were well portioned (although the custard jugs were very small - but nobody asked for a refill). Sweets ranged £3.25-£5.
Ambiance of the pub was extremely pleasant and I would highly recommend spending an evening there.
