Old Boots left this review about Cross Keys Inn
Basic village pub in a two pub village, it only seems to open evenings and weekends as is usual for a lot of villages. There is a small lounge at the front with a pool table in a front room opposite. Going through to the back, there is a larger public bar with a dartboard, small TV, machines and quite limited seating. This is a corner with bench seats plus three or four tables with chairs. Food is served but unusually for a North Yorkshire village pub it is not a foody place just a good basic village local for local people. There are two handpulls in the public bar with reasonably well kept Theakstons Best Bitter the only ale available, the usual type of kegs are also here, Grolsch being the only even slightly less common one. Décor from some pleasant water colours and there is a large beer garden with smoking shelter reached via french doors in the public bar.
