Plush place now called Masons CB. As you'd expect, no real ale and the name change hasn't affected the window above the exit door which still reads Henry's CB>

Being located in Covent Garden this large pub is a tourist trap and the prices reflect this. I had a meal in here with some friends on Saturday night and it was a good laugh, but that was more due to the company than the surroundings.
It is split level with a bar at the front and another bar on the lower rear wall which is reached via a flight of stairs. The top rear section of the pub is reserved for dining and the food was OK, but overpriced for what it was. We obviously had table service so didn’t venture to the bar, but I was served promptly and politely when ordering the first drink before being seated. As the night passed the age of the clientele decreased and the music got louder as a queue formed outside. There is a late license so obviously the party minded that aren’t ready to go home flock to places like this as they are well advertised and there is no cover charge.
The limited café style tables outside were handy for sitting at whilst having a cigarette and watching the ongoing dual between the taxi drivers and rickshaw riders.
Next time someone comes up with an idea that involves going to one of these bars I’ll attempt to steer them in the right direction which is away from Covent Garden on a Saturday night.
