Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bull

Substantial Banks's pub, and although partially opened-out out it retains distinct seating areas on three sides of the central servery plus a dining area beyond. Refurbished at some point, albeit in a semi-traditional way. On the real ale front, I found the Mild (£2.70), Amber, Sunbeam and seasonal Numero Nuno, together with Bombardier and Wainwright as guests, from a total of 11 handpumps on various parts of the bar counter.

Have returned here a few times since my first review. The pub is the same (Ale Monster's review is far superior to mine) and the Crown has turned into a Joules pub since. It is a really solid pub and the four Marston/Banks's pulls are still there and the MILD remains tip top.

Aug 2009:A large, detached, brick pub adorned with hanging baskets. A large, open plan pub, around a central bar area, with a dart area, packed to the rafters for quiz night. The décor was apricot (so my wife said!) and white walls (some textured) and panelling, with plenty of old pictures dotted about. There was Sky TV in the bar part. The place did food, but we didn’t eat. The service was fine and the clientele more towards the mature side. Beer; usual tap tosh, with Banks’s MILD and bitter on handpull, along with Ringwood Boondoggle and Jennings Cocker-hoop. The MILD was pretty good. A superior pub for choice and feel to the Crown over the road and definitely worth a visit

Just over the road from the Crown this is another large pub that has been knocked into a single room. Entering from the Crown side is the original public bar area with a decent looking darts throw and four hand pumps displaying just Banks's mild and bitter. The bar curves round into the Saloon bar area which extends all the way down the side of the building. It had a fair crowd in on my Saturday afternoon visit.
A blackboard announced that the three guest ales were Thwaite's Wainwright, Banks's Sunbeam and Brakspear Oxford Gold.
I went for the mild (£2.44) which was the cheapest pint of the day and in excellent condition. This is a reasonable pub and worth a look if you travel to Codsall by bus but I wouldn't make the walk from the Station to come here.
