Another new-build waterfront bar, this one being in the Chelsea Harbour area, where good taste and modesty go to die. A gruff greeting at the door from Syrian Sid hardly boded well for a fun 15 minutes. More character inside than the similar-in-vein Riverside which we did earlier in the day. Pub is set over two levels, with the bar in the upper. We sat in the lower level which has river views of a higher standard than the Riverside and also includes the novelty of seeing the comings-and-goings at the heliport. Multiple u-shaped seating enclaves are to be found here which are quite neat and better than the standard table and chairs format. Incredibly there was no ale available on a Saturday in this Youngs pub so a keg Youngs stout sufficed and inevitably it was eye-wateringly expensive. Didn’t really strike me as a particularly well-run establishment and there’s little reason for me to return again. I’ll leave it to the footballers. 4.5

Rex Rattus left this review about The Waterside Inn

This is nothing like a pub, being a newly built bar set by the river in the totally redeveloped Chelsea Harbour area. It's ultra modern, as you might expect. As you enter from the river side you are in the area with the most traditional of their furnishings, although there are some of those semi-circular banquette arrangements. The journey up some stairs to the next level is mandatory, because this where the bar is located. Here we have mainly tall tables and tall stools, with a couple of them being really large solid affairs, with a centerpiece of an oar bolted down the middle. I'm not sure that it serves any purpose, but is an unusual feature. Be sure to walk round to the right of the bar counter, as this is where they've put the three handpumps.

Up another flight of stairs is another room with tables laid for diners. Two of the handpumps had Young's Bitter clips, with the third having a London Gold clip, but unfortunately "coming soon". There wasn't what I would call a full menu where I sat in the downstairs area, but a mainly drinks menu did have a few "bites", including Scotch Eggs (£3.50); BBQ Chicken Wings and a dip (£5.95), and stuff like that.

This is nothing like a real pub, but I suppose it's useful for those who live here. I imagine someone who wants to live in Chelsea Harbour would feel at home in the Waterside Inn. On the plus side it does do a real ale, and has some nice river views.
