The Airedale has a long history and up until the late 1990's was starting to get a bad reputation, both for it's appearance and it's custom base. Former Castleford & Great Britain Rugby League star, Kevin Beardmore then took over, the place got a whole new facelift, food began to be served for the first time, and the pub changed it's name to The New Airedale. It is now a thriving pub, known for it's good value meals. Rock bands play at least once a week, and it regularly holds functions - a massive turnaround to what it once was.
