Good locals drinking hole. New landlord seems to be coping. Fine guest beers, always Bathams and up to 3 other guest ales. July 2007
ps. New landlord has left suddenly so now in hands of temporary managers - will the beer suffer?
July 2008. Pub is suffering from a succession of temporary landlords (new landlady is off sick for six months+) and locals are deserting for a new Bathams pub nearby. Beer not good!

Good atmosphere, resident Bathams, other real ales on guest basis. Various lagers. Well worth a visit, although can get busy.
New landlady as of Jan '08, seems to be coping well. Now 7 real ales on tap and a bit of a refurbishment has been done, place seems even more popular.
