Adjacent to the Tavern and externally it certainly looks the part. Retains some nice traditional touches in the long sideways L shaped interior (leaded glass and wood bar upper, maroon banquettes) though the curse of the snot green paint has occurred, fortunately not over the beams. Apparently it’s CAMRA Inventory listed due to the rear room which I wasn’t aware of and therefore missed, having only decided to pop-in on the fly. Darts on the telly up against Barry White on the stereo, great. One pump tucked away around the corner, a bit of paper for a clip proclaiming Allsops Pale. It wasn't great, no surprise, NBSS 1. Selection of rolls at the bar for £1.50 made with Lidl's finest ingredients - don't expect Black Country quality. Despite the ropey cask and clashing sounds the pub itself is fair enough. It could do well if steered in the right direction. 5.5

Dating from the 17th century, the Bull’s Head is L-shaped with seating to the right of the entrance and the bar on the rear wall to the left. Seating runs along the front windows to a fireplace in the left hand side. This fireplace separates the thin front seating area from the pool and dart area in the left rear where access can be gained to the beer garden out back that houses some picnic tables. During my visit on Tuesday evening last week there were only three customers, who were all friendly enough. The barmaid was also polite, but the only cask ale available from the handpumps was Bulls Head Pale Ale. A standard and premium keg selection was also available. There is a jukebox and live football is advertised, as is a function room.
This place has a bit of history to it and I would visit again, but probably wouldn’t stay for more than another pint.

A good traditional boozer with good atmosphere. The bar area faces you slightly to the left on entry. The lounge area is in an L shape with a small seated section on the right hosting a large TV showing sport. Two handpumps serving Titanic Iceberg and Weetwood Cheshire Cat, we went for the Weetwood which was fresh on that morning. Worth a look in I suppose, as it's a good solid pub.
