I have been to this pub many times because its one of the best pints of fosters in Chester, the staff are friendly and the price of alcohol very fair, they have some very good bands on at the weekends, a very good place to watch football on the big screen as well, at the back they have a patio with good seating arrangements, very good for the city centre only 2 minutes walk for all the sites and the Chester races.

Sounds a sorry story with accomodation but the pub was very good the other night. Bar maids who know what you are drinking after the first round and they know who has been waiting the longest! Remarkable!! Saw a great band, The Raynemakers, playing rock and blues. We stayed all night, so watch out for them. Nice patio, pool room and decor though some real ales would have been nice. Locals very friendly so a good place all round. Dont know about the rooms though!!!!

this pub as a b&b is as basic as they come. not knowing chester we booked not knowing any better the place could do with a good steam clean and money spent on towels etc. stay only as a last resort. the boss was on holiday so no breakfast. the staffwere very nice and helpful but wouldnt use it again and not a bargain at £50/56 per night with no breakfast. my party of 8 are all in the same mind in fact 2 wouldnt stay as the room they were shown was so dirty with no offer of a change
