The Bear & Billet
Chester
CH1 1RU

Average Rating:
A fantastic Jacobean looking timber and white terrace building, with plenty of glass, sandwiched between two brick buildings.
The interior has a couple of floors, with dining upstairs. The ground floor is in red and cream with roof and support beams, wood panel and a nice tiled fireplace with a fire going. There were lots of old prints and photographs on the walls, very traditional apart from the comfy chairs and sofa, but i think it did enough to please all types. Service was fine, though it was empty when we visited.
Beers; usual tap stuff, with Skinner's Hunny Bunny, Hop Back Medley, Quantock Sunraker, Salopian Oracle and Okells Bitter on handpull, the Hunny Bunny and Oracle were good.
Always worth a visit to this place, a good performer.
