Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Albert Lounge Bar (The ALB)
Trendy bar / restaurant, already very busy late on a Saturday afternoon (and no doubt getting ready for a frantic evening ahead). The main room and smaller side room have light, modern furniture and decor (and there is also more space at first-floor level by the look of things, but I didn't venture up). Surprisingly, perhaps, there are two handpumps (albeit somewhat hidden away at one end of the counter) dispensing Greene King IPA and the 'house' ALB Ale (£4.00).

A trendy expensive cocktail bar! With Greed King IPA at £4 a pint, this place is definitely not for the beer drinker, especially after waiting for the barman to top up the champagne buckets with ice and prepare cocktails looking more like an ice cream sundae. My visit here was certainly just a Chesney!

Utter utter shite. A hideous trendy load of crap. Its now a tedious cocktail monstrosity. Allegedly real ale but the beer fonts are hidden to the left of the counter which sums up how crap this place is. For under the thumb blokes only. Awful.

Much much cleaner than the old Albert but all the character of a pub has been refurbed out.
