Old Boots left this review about The Black Swan
A stone built with upper half timbering, Victorian building in a well heeled part of Harrogate. Inside there's an open plan space with three areas divided by chimney breasts, there's a mix of high, mid, and low tables and chairs mostly for eating at. One side has a couple of leather armchairs and to the left the floor level is down a few stairs to a more cozy eating area and there's a very large garden beyond that. Four pumps, one is spare, the others with a unimaginative but safe cask choice of Black Sheep Bitter, Theakstons Best Bitter, and Taylors Landlord in ok condition although rather pricey for the area. A mid range keg choice is also available. The interior has a strange indistinct ambiance; it's sort of modern in an oldish setting, but tastefully done; perhaps they're slightly confused about what they should emphasising. The decor is an eclectic mix of pictures. There is free wifi from BT openzone.
