Traditional pub that is keg only, unless I missed any hand pumps. Go there on a ‘Happy Monday’ and get Tetley or Carlsberg for £1.60. Cheap food offers as well from a big menu.

Tetleys and Pedigree were available during my visit here alongside an unused hand pump and a standard selection of draught. I opted for a Guinness, which was good, as I wasn't that inspired by the ale choices and I spotted no others drinking them.

It is a good sized pub with a large self contained island bar with access to the upstairs. The front of the pub is quite open and has a dartboard, but the rest of the pub is more like a corridor going around the bar. There is a pool table by the side entrance that leads to some seating on the edge of the car park. They have Sky Sports and I spotted a couple of plasma screens along with a jukebox that was playing rap songs that the younger generation in the pub had put on.

I didn't really settle in here as I thought that there was a bit of an atmosphere generated by some of the customers and I wouldn't go back again.

The Change of Hart appears to be an old coaching Inn and been recently refurbished but still retains a good traditional feel.

The carpeted interior contains an island bar with several alcoves and narrow drinking areas surrounding it. At the rear is a pool table and there are a couple of flat screens however the low ceilings make them awkward to watch when the pub is busy. The abundant beer promotion / cheap drink posters make the place look a bit cheap and shabby but overall it has a decent enough feel to it. There is also a large well kepy beer garden.

The beers were a standard selection with 2 Real Ales available, Pedigree and Tetleys, which were of drinkable quality and reasonably priced.

The pub has always, until now, been handy for non league footy fans as it is situated near to Edgware’s White Lion football ground although my visit coincided with the last match to be played there and as such, it is hard to see myself ever needing the pub’s facililities again in the foreseeable future.
