Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Italian Job

Craft beer bar with a bit of a twist since it does actually have some Italian beer... I found 13 of the 14 taps in use, with a diverse selection in a range of styles, from which I went for the 'house' (Birrifico del Ducato) Amber, a decent but expensive pint at £5.95. It also has a couple of handpumps, but only one was in use and that was drawing a cider. Apart from the beer, it has a stripped-out 'L'-shaped bar with a limited number of small tables plus a lounge-like bit near the main (disused?) fireplace and a restaurant down three steps in a side room.

Quinno _ left this review about The Italian Job

Has been open two years and proclaims itself as the UK's first Italian Craft Beer Pub. The oddly sparse interior is, inevitably, all blue and white. No ale though there are two pumps, one of which was offering Sandfords cider. Of the 14 lines, 6 were Italian, dispensing Birrificio and Ducatot beers. My Birrificio Pilsner was clean and crisp and £3.30 for a half which for a genuine niche import in London is respectable. Also check out the fridge for a few other Italian items. Staffed by friendly Italians who offered advice to non-regulars and would enquire - in a non-contrived way - how things were when they passed and were also willing to take you up on conversation if you gifted more than a two word response. I quite liked it as something a bit different and also well-run into the bargain. Give it a try.

Tris C left this review about The Red Lemon

Until recently this was The Pelican and is situated on what was once one of Notting Hill's most infamous streets, All Saints Road. Located on the north side of Westbourne Park Road, at the junction is probably the most prominent all-seeing CCTV camera I've ever seen, so perhaps this street's reputation persists.

This is a corner pub with a surprisingly spacious interior, there's seating to the outside. A broadly central bar with a large mainly dining space to the rear, the interior is painted a universal gloomy battleship grey - décor is stark if non-existent. Ceilings are high and feature halogen downlighters. Spherical filament lamps dangle above the bar and the ceiling also features a rather gaudy chandelier. Of interest is a type of brass lamp bar to both the main picture windows. They are very interesting, possibly original, and flicker; perhaps they were once gas? The floor is bare boarded and there are studded brown leather banquettes below the windows and large circular black lacquered tables with tea lights. To the rear is a fireplace and two Chesterfield sofas and beyond this is a spacious dining area. There was a TV, mercifully off but more worryingly there's a projector. Music was playing, muted jazz funk.

At 8.00 pm on the evening of my visit, the pub was virtually empty. What few people were in attendance were an older and trendy bunch and despite the fact that the pub's website seems to make a big deal about food, not one person was in the dining area. This is troubling, not least because this place has something of a reputation for flirting with demise.

The barman was friendly and prompt (no-one else was at the bar). There are premium lagers and Addlestone's cider. Ales on offer were Portobello's Very Pale Ale, Carnival Ale and St. Austell's Tribute which I chose. The barman didn't know the price stating £4.40 but giving me 40p change for a fiver. Let's split the difference and call it £4.50 then. Either way this is far too much given that this pub is located on the 'wrong' side of Westbourne Park Road. Price aside, my pint was completely off. Ok, so I'm too English and didn't complain, sipping what was in all but name a pint of Sarson's malt vinegar whilst putting on a brave face.

All in, the gloomy interior, lack of atmosphere, dodgy location and awful over-priced ale, I shan't be coming back anytime soon.
