Blackthorn _ left this review about The Beaufort Arms
This is a bit of a hidden oasis being tucked away in the side streets off of Blackboy Hill. I'd venture that the majority of people walking up the hill just a few yards away don't even know it's there. It's worth taking the small detour to get there though as it's a decent little pub.
There's just one long bar, with the right hand end being dominated by a pool table. There's also a plasma on the wall. There's more seating down on the left, and some attractive exposed brickwork giving a suitably rustic feel to the place. Friendly barmaid.
Beers on tap were London Pride, Butcombe and Doom Bar. Good choices of ciders with the unusual (these days) Taunton Traditional, Thatcher's Dry, Thatcher's Gold and Blackthorn.
