A flat-roofed estate pub in a large housing development, currently owned by Greene King. There are two small carparks and a tarmac garden with some tables and chairs, and the main door is approached through a small drive shared with a couple of local shops. There is a single large bar with a raised area at one side, the latter dominated by an over-sized DJ station and its accompanying sound paraphernalia. The walls are festooned with music memorabilia including a selection of guitars and some other stringed instruments, posters and gold records, actually very interesting and of some historic significance. There is a pool table and a dart board, but I suspect neither sees much action. Some wooden tables are dotted around for those wishing to eat, but the majority of the furniture is of the tubular steel fast food canteen variety and not very comfortable. The staff were friendly, but the pub lacked any real atmosphere; the locals were OK once you separate the wheat from the chaff. Two ales on, both from GK: I had a pint of IPA which was very fresh and in good condition. Fine if you’re in the area or want to come and look at the music artefacts, but it’s a grind to find and I wouldn’t seek it out for its beer alone.

Really enjoyed visiting here, a fantastic little pub with a clear passion for music, various musical memorabilia from over the years. The atmosphere is warm and the people seem friendly, not your typical local. Pool table, dart board & jukebox too!

It has a nice seating area outside, heated area out front for the winter. The drinks are a slightly more expensive than in town but then I suspect they have to be to survive in it's location away from the buzz of town, although they seem to have live music most weekends so they're creating a buzz of their own! We'll be back for sure.
