Will Larter left this review about The Fettykil Fox

A food-led pub on the outskirts of Leslie, the Fettykil Fox can be accessed by a complicated route off the main road, although it is situated tantalisingly close to the roundabout. This is a lovely old stone building, as is to be expected with the Vintage Inns chain. All the other customers at the time of my visit were dining, but I was only here for a beer. There were five hand pumps on the bar, but three of the beers were "settling in the cellar". All of the beers were foreign, and Caledonian Deuchars IPA hardly counts as local. I was left with a choice between that and Wells Bombardier. Not really my type of pub and I can't see me hurrying back.

Date of visit: 7th March 2016.

The Fettykil Fox which is a Vintage Inns chain of pubs is named after an old name of the town Leslie. Classed as a country pub it is like the styling of Brewers Fayres. Lunch Monday-Friday until 5pm meals are available with 2 courses £10.95 / 3 courses £13.95 Dinner Monday-Friday 5-8pm 2 courses £12.95 / 3 courses £15.95. The place is open Mon to Sat 12:00pm till 11:00pm & Sun 12:00pm till 10:30pm.

The Fettykil Fox is well known in Glenrothes and across Fife as a country pub. A pub restaurant good for food, we are a 15 minute drive from the Forth Bridge and close to historic St Andrews. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a selection of real ales and a diverse wine menu for you to choose from.
