Some excellent detail in the reviews below,I liked the frosted Double Diamond window pane, the 20ppp CAMRA discount,and the £10 Thai meal deal including a Bass.Quite close to The Southampton Arms but much calmer,it is worth exploring the extensive interior once past the red velvet draught excluders around the entrance.
First on my list if visiting a pub in this neck of the woods.

Mr PSM's review below covers the main points and I agree that this a lovely, welcoming and comfortable traditional pub.
Entry is through the front door where you are met by darkness and only by pushing aside the heavy red velvet curtain do gain access to the bar. A nice touch.
The Pineapple does serve food and specialises in Thai which, although we didn't try, looked and smelt great.
Beer on when we visited was Kent Cob Nut, in good condition, Bass, Welsh Warrior, Cottage Healy 3000 and Kingsdown Classic.
I'd certainly return if anywhere near.

This is a lovely traditional pub, down a quiet backstreet close to Kentish Town tube station. The entrance takes you into a compact and cosy room, with wooden floorboards and leather banquettes under old Ind Coope windows. The room is dominated by the impressive servery with its amazing Victorian bar back complete with etched glass panels and a clock centrepiece. There are further rooms behind the servery which can be accessed from either end of the bar. This area is decorated with retro style wallpaper and again there is leather banquette seating as well as some standard table and chair arrangements. Both the front and back rooms have fireplaces over which hang large Bass mirrors. There is also a patio area with further seating at the very back of the pub. A decent selection of music was playing quietly in the background and a fairly large early evening crowd gave the place a nice buzz of atmosphere.
There were five ales on when I visited - Redemption Trinity and Big Chief (£3.40), Cottage Somerset and Dorset and Champflower Ale and Bass. The Trinity went off whilst my pint was being poured, so I tried the Big Chief instead, which was excellent. The barman was very apologetic and assured me that he would have the Trinity back on soon, should I want to try it later, and he was true to his word. I spotted a menu which consisted of Thai food, although I didn't see anyone eating, and there was a reasonable wine list on each table as well.
This pub ticked a lot of boxes for me, with its fine interior, friendly staff and excellent beer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and look forward to a return visit the next time I'm in this part of town.

Short walk from Tufnell Park underground station, I found this to be a very pleasant pub to drink in. Good description of the pub below, and I love the multi-room feel with it's separate drinking areas. Very friendly, and I agree it would be a good local to have on your doorstep. Enjoyed 2 Redemption beers here, Trinity and Urban Dusk. Others available were Bass, Cottage Golden Arrow and Otley 06 Porter.

Saved from the developers by a campaign by the locals this pub is a true traditional local with a fair range of real ales with the Adnams Pale Ale being in good form.There is a small front bar with a side drinking area and a conservatory at the back.On a very cold day the pub with its fire were very welcoming.A true back street local that is well worth a visit.North London CAMRA pub of the year 2010/11

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pineapple
On a very cold winter night, the blazing fire and curtain across the front door to keep the heat in were very welcome. Other features on interest include the various pineapples on the facade and the splendid back of the little 'U'-shaped bar which faces you on entry. It was fairly crowded in the small and traditional front room, but there are several connected seating areas behind plus a modern conservatory and patio beer garden. Four real ales were available - Bass, a seasonal Adnams (Yuletide?) and two Redemption beers (including a first-class Porter at £3.10). Well worth seeking out.

A fine back street pub in a gentrified area of Kentish Town. The main bar room is at the front as you go in, the bar back being particularly attractive with etched mirrors, carved and gilded wood and "Whiskies.. Brandies.. Wines" stated in bold lettering above. There is an old and working clock set in the centre. Polished wooden floor, leather banquettes and stools at very heavy Britannia round tables with thick solid wooden tops. The room extends slightly around the bar to the right, but on the left continues back through a narrow area and eventually to a large bright conservatory containing colourful framed drawings of birds. The pub garden is again beyond here.
The two chimney breasts have huge Bass mirrors over, the bar fireplace is tiled whereas the side one is of marble or alabaster. The pub front windows take you back to another age with the lower portions in obscure glass and proclaiming "Ind Coope" and " Double Diamond". No such insults to brewing today, there were Draught Bass...rare nowadays...Art Brew Monkey IPA, Kingstone Kingstone Gold and 1503 Tudor Ale. Chatty vibrant locals enhanced the place, and made it feel like a proper old pub. Board games available. Very good indeed.

The Pineapple is a back street locals pub which was very busy when i went in,when you go through the door you also have to move a curtain out of the way befor you get to the bar,there were 4 handpumps on the bar but it was so busy i could only see two of the beers on i had Ulley bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer i could see was Adnams Bitter,this is quite a decent small pub thats worth seeking out.

I walked through the door to this place and slipped through the curtain behind the door that is used to keep the heat in and was confronted by the backs of people's heads sitting at the bar a foot in front of me. Surprisingly a local moved out of my way so that I could get to the bar and the friendly barman came straight over even though it was busy. Kingstone Brewery's Kingstons Gold and Tewdric's Tipple were available alongside Old Cannon Best Bitter and a selection of premium and standard lagers.
The front of the pub is small with the bar taking up most of the space, but it does have an open fire. There is more seating around the sides and in the conservatory out the back. There is also a beer garden, but I did not check it out as it was raining.
I enjoyed my visit here and would recommend it to others.

This is a little gem of a pub, tucked away down a leafy street fairly near to Kentish Town station. They had Old Cannon Brewery's Bitter on, plus one of the Adnam's beers, when I was in there at lunchtime yesterday. The OCB Bitter was absolutely superb. They had had a beer festival going a few days ago and still had some of the ales from that on offer. They may still be selling them off during the evening – at £2 a pint! The food is Thai, and was pretty good for £5 a meal. But there was nothing other than Thai food, which is fine as long as you like Thai food.
There is a well-preserved stunning mid-Victorian bar-back in place. It's one of the best I have seen, and is a really attractive feature to have in a pub like this. This is a comfortable pub with very friendly service, excellent beer, decent food and some superb Victoriana. Definitely worth seeking out if you find yourself in Kentish Town.
