This is an early 19th century pub, rebuilt in 1940 by A. E. Sewell, inhouse architect for Truman’s; two of their magnificent ‘eagle’ motifs can be seen to the parapet.
The first – and last – time I came here was in May 2016 so can’t remember it well. It’s no longer part of the Taylor Walker empire, now a Greene King outlet, opposite Euston station, on slightly seedy Eversholt Street. It’s typical of GK pubs, with lots of sports screens and a generally transient customer base. What is of interest though, are the very fine examples of marquetry and parquetry, one of a sailing ship to the right wall, then Art Deco motifs flanking a fireplace in the left-hand bar; lovely.
GK beers, then a couple of pumps double clipped with Lilley’s cider, me going for the Portobello Star at a troubling £3.00 a half, served by an unmemorable barmaid; diacetyl as hell, I left it to go for the welcoming pastures of the King Charles I down the road.
The Art Deco finery is worth sticking your head round the door, but otherwise it’s best avoided.

Very busy pub right next to Euston station. Ok to kill a little time waiting for your train but I couldn't spend too long in here! 4 ales on when I called at the end of a long day. I can't recall the beers but the one I had was fine. With the proximity of the station there is a real mix of customers in varying states of intoxication! We got a table on the street outside and were rewarded with a fine view of a full on fight between 2 middle aged drunken women! Classy!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal George

Although I used to work nearby a few years ago, I hardly ever used to visit as there were always groups of rather unsavoury-looking characters hanging about. However, I am now back in the area, and the place looks rather more appealing, with a smarter appearance both inside and out (and the hanging baskets certainly help). Staple-shaped bar with some interesting features if you look closely (and the building is Grade II listed). Nowadays a Greene King house, with IPA, Abbot and Yardbird plus Wandle and Portobello's seasonal Home Turf Pale (£5.50) available from five of the six handpumps on this call.

a fairly generic London pub next to Euston which feels quite uninspiring inside. gloomy and a bit of a dive to be honest. It did, however, serve a decent selection of ales and feels more pubby than the more upmarket places in the station, which is something.

The GBG throws up some surprises. Just how did a Chainy Greene King get in the Bible?

It had two extra beers over the usual Greene King range - and I went for a decent Sambrooks Junction but didn't appreciate paying £4.95 for the privilege.

Music far too loud, chainy feel and much better options in the area.

Situated to one side of Euston station, this is a large Taylor Walker pub with a predictably transient customer base. The pub has a wide U-shaped interior, with corner entrances at either end of the frontage, plus another door in the middle of the front wall, suggesting a former two or three bar layout. The right hand side of the pub is fairly simple in its layout, with high tables and stools in a space dominated by a large pull-down screen showing live cricket. A few black and white photos of the old Euston Arch and other local scenes dotted the walls, but the area was pretty dark and gloomy compared with the rest of the pub. The room narrows as the servery appears along the mid-section of the rear wall. Here, a few standard tables and chairs run under the front windows, opposite the bar with its tongue and groove panelled counter and plain bar back. A few slot machines could be found here along with a couple more TV screens also showing cricket and Sky Sports News. The left hand side is the largest section of the pub and has a mix of standard chairs and cracked leather banquettes which run down the left and along the rear wall. A nicer button backed banquette can be found in a recess behind the servery, underneath some odd wood panel effect wallpaper. Elsewhere there is a green and cream paint scheme, postage stamp wallpaper, some dark paint around a rear corner fireplace and anglypta ceiling. To one side of the fireplace there are some highly unusual art deco(?) painted wood panels with images relating to drinking on them – by far the pub’s most interesting feature. More screens showing the same sports channels could be found round this side and there were flags from the Euro 2016 nations covering the ceiling. Music played quietly and a few drinkers moved out to the limited selection of pavement seats to the front of the pub.
This place has recently found its way into the Good Beer Guide but still remains very much the poor relation when compared to other Guide listed pubs in the immediate area. That’s not to say that there wasn’t a reasonable selection here, with the row of hand pumps dispensing Sambrooks Junction and Pumphouse Pale, Taylor Walker 1730, Greene King London Glory and Purple Reign and Southwark LPA. A pint of the latter set me back a deeply upsetting £4.85, which I could have much better spent on a better kept and more interesting pint in the Euston Tap, but as it was, I had to make do with this passable and rather bland tasting pint instead.
This place has seemingly realised that it needs to broaden its ale range to steal away some custom from the likes of the Euston Tap, Doric Arch and Bree Louise, and its Guide listing should perhaps be seen as the realisation of such an attempt. In other parts of the city, this place would potentially stand out, but whilst I was happy enough here, I really can’t see foresee regular return visits.

Bury pub right next to Euston station, it was not comfortable due to the crowds and nothing special inside or out, but the beer choice and quality saved this big time!

A Taylor Walker chain pub that is popular with the commuting crowd with Euston station being across the road. Place was buzzin' when we got there (5pm on a Wednesday evening) with people outside at the tables and chairs but we were able to find a table inside and ordered food. There are many TV screen evident and the music was so loud normal conversation was impossible but it gave an upbeat atmosphere.
Bar service was efficient (even though busy) and the food arrived quite quickly. Portions were very good size and the food tasty and well prepared. we opted for a couple of deserts as well and these were reasonable priced considering where we were.
If i have time before my train leaves in the future then I would certainly consider this again.

A rather plain open plan pub which put me in mind a little of an estate pub,TV screens and fruit machines much in evidence along with a rather average or worse beer selection and the Southwark LPA I tried was ordinary at best,I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

There is a fine Trumans Eagle on the outside but that was the highlight, the interior is depressing with 4 large sports flatscreens, dull furniture and full open plan with few original features.Six handpumps but a lot of GK dross (H&H Rocked Out,GK IPA,GK London Glory) leaving just Westerham 1730 and Southwark LPA(just OK) as guest options on my visit.
There are far better pubs within a stones throw, this was a brief crawl visit which wont be repeated.
