E TA left this review about Victoria Arms
A traditional Victorian terraced town pub of the sort that are dying out now, so it was a pleasure to find this one open and thriving. There is a small car park on a vacant plot opposite, but no real outside area other than that. Three original rooms have been conjoined to form a single carpeted L-shaped bar, and an original fireplace has been retained at one side and contains a modern woodburner. There are a pool table, gaming machines and a jukebox. It was a welcoming place, friendly customers and staff, and the décor, while dated, gave it a traditional feel. The only ale on was Doombar, while other choices were Staropramen, Carlsberg, Fosters, Madri and Guinness. Worth a visit.
