A community pub with an open but long interior with a modern traditional feel and a mix of seating throughout. Five pumps on the bar, Robinsons Dizzy Blonde, Courage Directors, Theakstons Old Peculiar and Holts Two Hoots along with a Thatchers Cider, the Two Hoots was a little hazy but tasted fine. Nothing particularly special here but worth a look if passing.

The interior is long and narrow but the decor looks a bit tatty ,the furniture is well worn and it's not shabby chic.Towards the rear is a lower snug ,on the way to the beer garden.Rugby was being aired on the flatscreens bringing in a decent number of punters and there was a friendly chatty service from behind the bar. There were four real ales Deuchars IPA, Charles Wells DNA,Adnams Broadside and Southwold Bitter (very tired). At the front there was a large fridge of craft beers which might be more popular than the mundane ale selection. We settled at the front into leather seating so worn it was difficult to extract yourself, although the nearby woodburner did offer some compensation.
Well used by locals, and free of gastro makeover ,quizzes on two nights just a shame more flair isnt shown on ale selection but maybe it's owned by a pubco and that the reason.

The Village is a decent looking pub from the outside,it is just along the road from the Queens Arms.
Once inside there is a long narrowish room which runs to the rear, there is some bench seating to the front all in use,the other seating is worn out settees to the front left, these were very uncomfortable, the floor is bare boarded.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Charles Wells DNA which was a decent drink, the other beers were Adnams Bitter/ Broadside and Deuchars IPA.
The pub seemed a bit shabby but it was very busy on a Saturday dinner visit so the locals must like it here.
