The Concertina Band Club, Mexborough

The Concertina Band Club building looks a bit grim from the outside. Once inside there was a large square shaped room with the bar to the left,the main area had comfy bench seating around the edge of the room and lots of normal tables and chairs in the middle of it,there was a large stage which looked like it was being used as a storage area, there was a smaller room to the rear which had a pool table and dart board in it,this was in use. There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Concertina Club bitter which was a very nice drink,the other beers from Concertina were Bengal Tiger and Old Dark Attic,the other beer was John Smiths cask. The pub was fairly quiet on my Saturday dinner visit apart from a couple of dart players and what looked like two beer tickers. The pub opens 12 till 4pm on a saturday dinner,not sure about the evenings. Pub visited 6/7/2013
