The Prince of Wales, Bedworth

Traditional exterior,the interior has been modernised and has a large darts throw in the right section with some regular tables and chairs,a central bar,the left section having the feel of a dining area with upright wooden chairs and square tables while further along is a small pool room.There are pic nic benches outside,firstly under an awning then at a higher level beer garden. The flatscreens were playing a modern version of Robot Wars from a commercial tv station,no sports coverage here.The muzak was an annoying mix of calypso and Irish folk but the breakfast menu looked great value starting at £4.25 offered 10am -1pm,while regular pub grub with chips at other times.Pleasing to see cobs on dispay on the bar top.It is most certainly a local but the greeting was warm. Three handpumps but only unbranded Marston's Lighter Nights was offered (Cheap at £3.20,developed a tang on the way down,NBSS 2) Popular with regulars but not enough to demand a revisit.
