As the name suggests Ossett Brewery have converted this from an old tram shed as the tram rails in the front patio testify, and in their usual careful style have made the most of the original features, the barback even mimics a tram. The single large space is divided by differing floor levels and balustrades into various sitting and standing areas. Decor is tram / Salt's mill based and with some bookcases, chests of drawers, a homely fireplace complete with mantle clock and mirror there's a slightly mixed feel of the domestic clashing with the industrial. The rear has a mezzanine floor inserted housing a gallery restaurant and at the ground floor front is a separate dining room - The Refectory. To one side is a kitchen counter and there's a couple of screens along with a high level stage where live music happens regularly. As an Ossett pub the beers are from their range plus the usual associates Rat, Riverhead, and Fernandes plus occasional guests, the nine pulls included one for cider, prices were average at £2.75-£3 per pint, although a little above Ossett's usual keen pricing. The beer quality was good as you expect in Ossett pubs if a little cool, the piped music may have been cool but I thought a little intrusive.

Pretty decent venue but not very good selection of real ales usually and can be a bit pricey. Has sometimes had some good music gigs on Fridays or Saturdays.
