We are excited to once again be organising our Local Beer Festival!! This will be the 3rd year that we have now put on our beer festival and so far it has been a great success and we can't wait for May 2015 to do it all again!

The beer festival will run over the May bank holiday weekend from Friday 22nd May through to Monday 25th May. The format will be the same as the last two years with up to 16 beers on at any one point and a number of different ciders on as well. It was great to get so many local Welsh ales at the pub for people to try.

We have not got the final list of beers that we will be having yet but as soon as we do then we will get it on the website for you.


Our annual charity raft race will be taking place on Sunday 24th May at 2pm. It is always a fantastic day with so much support and its always fantastic to see so many people getting involved. It's just a bit of fun so why not get together with some friends from work, university, the pub and enter yourselves as a team in this year's raft race.

The rules are pretty simple.... The raft has to be made by hand using whatever materials you can get your hands on, no engines, sails, pumps or propellers are allowed. All you can use is your own brute strength and oars. The race starts on the beach directly outside The Glengower.

There is no minimum or maximum number of people you can have in your team, it is just £10 per team to enter. All proceeds go to the RNLI who support this great event.

CASH prizes to be won for the winning teams and a bonus prize for the best fancy dress!
