The Swan in Ramsey

Cask here in this Okells house was MPA and Best. Keg offering of Guinness, Madri, Carling, dark fruits SB, Carling, Falcon lager, Orchard Isle cider, Snaafel lager.
Large venue, with a lounge and public bar set up accessed from common entrance. The lounge bar had the bar counter immediately to the right of its entrance and there was some tall stool seating at the bar counter on an attractive wide patterned ceramic tile skirt. A leather banquette down the left-hand wall and around the rear left-hand corner serving regular tables with regular chairs the other side thereof. Some half height wooden dividers at points along the banquette. There is an alcove in the rear right-hand corner served by a wraparound studded red leather banquette serving a solitary table. A pool table in the centre of the bare boarded floor with a dartboard in the middle of the right-hand wall. Several screens showing footy action of yesteryear with no sound that provided by a poppy soundtrack. The public bar saw its bar counter backing the bar counter in the lounge bar with a walk through allowing the solitary bar staff on my quiet visit to cover both sides. A fire grate on the wall opposite the bar counter housed a decorative fire and there were a couple of facing leather sofas in front of it. Regular tables and chairs on the remainder of the bare boarded area clearly turned over to diners and an arch to the left-hand side of the fire grate takes you through into another bare boarded area with regular tables and chairs similarly laid for diners. A rear beer garden was partly paved partly grassed with typical picnic benches but all out of play on my visit, a small amount of similar seating out the paved front on a busy road junction equally out of play. No screens in the public bar but a gentle music soundtrack playing. Pretty much par for the Okells pub course.
