A small GK-tied pub with the old GK 1799 plaque out front (albeit it does have Freehouse on a sign out front), this has two bars; one through a bar to to right on entry, the other dead ahead through a corridor. Looks to have had a spruce up of late w... [more>]

Fairly typical member of the Loungers chain. You know what to expect if you have been in one before! There are better options nearby.

Probably still the best pub in Harborne. Certainly the best ale choice although for some reason I didn't note them on my last visit. I have never had a bad drink in here and I always call in when I am in the area. Well worth a visit.

A bit on the expensive side as others have noted. More geared towards food but with a few ales on it is worth popping in for one. Only one though at these prices!!

A Charles Wells house in a superb building inside and out that in this current guise isn't playing to its strengths. Two barred with a main bar including a rarity in a Northamptonshire table skittles table and a snug bar with some cracking old photos... [more>]

Little to add from Alan's review nearly 20 years ago(!). Still a Charles Wells house with Olde Worlde trappings inside and out. CW Eagle IPA, Bombardier and something from their 'Wandering Brewer' project called Jazz Club augmented by Wadworth 6X for... [more>] |
