A good solid locals' pub with 3 rooms. The main front bar has tables at one end and sofas at the other, with a few TV screens. Behind this is a rather dark bar with a pool table, while round the side is a large and well-equipped function room, used f... [more>]

Nicholson’s pub housed in a soulless modern office block the split level interior has a bit more character than you might expect.

The Brewery Tap

Unchanged from earlier reviews - a huge barn of a place over two levels with a modern feel. Drinking alongside the brewing vessels always adds something, and it is a handy source of good ale for the town centre and station, but otherwise it is not ex... [more>]

Now returned to its former name, there's no sign of the carpet or crimson colour scheme that Tris saw two years back, with bare boards on the floor and bluish-grey walls, although the servery appears to remain the same as the below description. Two a... [more>]

The Red Lion is a quirky 15th century country pub on Brede Hill Road opposite St George’s church, whose bells were ringing during a recent Saturday afternoon visit. To the left of the pub is a narrow entrance to a large car park at the rear that runs... [more>]

Standard Spoon's in the high street. Ringwood 49er, Wainwright, Oakham Bishops farewell, Hobgoblin and Sweet Chariot on offer plus the usual suspects. Not the most interesting of selections when you consider that Burton is the "home of brewing".

A huge Lloyds No 1 , very busy early doors on a Friday morning The beer range was poor at best with only usual Spoons suspects available at both bars. I thought the whole experience pretty awful.
