I'm sorry to report that The Baum suffered a hostile takeover by Simon's ex wife on Monday. Not only will I not be ordering beer anymore I don't have a local either. RIP The Baum. It will never be the same again. |

I used to come here about eight years ago when this was the Robert Browning; it has sensibly reverted to its original name, the Eagle, and is pleasant enough, attracting an older clientele; the real fire is a nice touch though it would seem that bar ... [more>] |

Looked the more down to earth of the two pubs in the village. Beer - a below average Marstons 61 Deep - bit lifeless, no head and poured with a lack of love. Food was very good - just a couple of sandwiches but well presented and good value. Great... [more>] |
