Glass-fronted Hungry Horse in the shopping centre, which does at least have a separate bar area to one side: not unpleasant and with IPA and Abbot on handpump. The family dining side is best avoided unless you are dining with a family. |

A modern plasticky thing on the edge of the pedestrianised area. The tiny bar has keg Carling, San Miguel and Stowford Press only. A pub by technical definition only. |

Nice little traditional Banks's pub at end of town. The horseshoe-shaped room has leather perimeter seating, with darts in one corner. There are some benches outside on the pavement. Banks's Original on electric pump - the mild was not evident. |

Yet another typical small town Spoon's. One long room with a slightly art deco feel, and a small patio area at the rear, mainly used by smokers. Only a couple of guest ales supplementing the usual stuff, and nothing local, which is disappointing. |

A locals' pub on the main pedestrianised street amongst the shops. One long room extends backwards and upwards, with several TV screens showing sport and darts and pool at the back. Seemed fairly busy but sadly the two handpumps were unused. |
