I only came here to get a photo, but it was so cold that I thought I might as well pop in to see what real ales might be on. A quick look at the bar counter showed a) too many people queuing up for service and b) three hand pumps with just the one pu... [more>]

An unusual pub, very well described by Tris. There seems a split personality here, with a yellow theme to the left with a mural in watercolours on a rear wall, while around the bar and to the right retains a lot of pre war details ,especially the descret... [more>]

Maybe this is the future of beer. The exterior of this pub has wonderful brown glazed tiles, and the front doors open directly onto the bar, with various handpumps and wall taps all unmarked.Select from the list in large lettering to your left.On my tri... [more>]

A corner pub best know for it's Soil Association accreditation and it's commitment to organic produce. The exterior map shows all their food suppliers. The interior has been totally stripped out,and has ranks of bench seating rather like a refectory.Th... [more>]

A street corner pub which doesn't seem to have gentrified.Internally there is a lot of wood panelling and traditional furniture. There are two handpumps but tucked away from the main display of multinational kegs, and not in the serving area .It felt l... [more>]

A large Victorian back street pub previously The Malt and Hops.  It has an Irish theme, but it’s more than a bog standard Irish bar.  The ground floor has been opened out to form a single nearly-square bar with a counter in one corner around the stai... [more>]

This was my local from 2000 'til 2001 and we only went in once. It was a very subdued locals' pub, lacking in any atmosphere.

I recall a historic and atmospheric pub from my brief time living in Sevenoaks in the very early 2000s. I also recall the 5th November torch parade passing here in 2000 - like a scene from the Wicker Man. I'd happily return here if passing.

From my time living here in the early 2000, this was a pub which had a board outside taking great pains to point out that the name wasn't intended as a racial slur but was historic. This was a pleasant pub, clearly aimed at those with a bit more mone... [more>]

Originally the Sennocke. Situated opposite the railway station, closed 2006 and demolished in 2007. This was a fairly large affair, only visited once in the very early 2000s. I seem to remember it being better than your average railway pub but it did... [more>]

Visited around 2000/01 and this was a pleasantly eccentric pub, bordering on the slightly weird. We liked it but didn't return, not least because some strange woman was hitting on my ex-girlfriend, to her discomfort.

On my one visit in 2000, this pub had easily the most upmarket aspirations of any pub in Sevenoaks when we visited on the way to Sevenoaks School field for the annual fireworks. It was a bit too stuffy for us and the furthest walk of any of the town'... [more>]

Not visited since 2001 when this was our local, this was a pleasant, traditional family-run pub (as I recall) with a good atmosphere in a pleasant residential area and off the beaten track. In keeping with the name, I remember a couple of old rifles ... [more>]

Situated in a lovely enclave, this was the first pub we visited when we moved to Sevenoaks in the autumn of 2000. It was a bit of a rockers'/metal pub and the staff were very friendly. At that time, unfortunately, it rather gave the impression that a... [more>]

I haven't been in here for a good 27 years when this was an office local. It was a bit of a dowdy place though interesting in that it would today probably be called an air-rights development on account of the flying freehold above Manette Street. I p... [more>]
