Busy pub with a decent selection of ales and the usual JDW ones. Chose the Backyard IPA which was well enough kept. Large outdoor seating area at the rear overlooking a large car park. |

Apparently, the Rising Sun is one of only 3 pubs in the Manchester City Centre to have a front and rear entrance (one on Lloyd Street & one on Queen Street). I agree this is another good ale house with an interesting range of different styles of Ale... [more>] |

Called into this pub on a visit to Shirley and found a comfotable friendly bar wit a choice of ales. There is a function room where live music is played. Friendly staff and has the feel of a well used community local. |

A beautifully tiled pub on the exterior and reassuringly traditional inside, as BF mentions below, the Brightside Mancunian was in good nick. A must visit pub when in Manchester. |
