A nicely upspoilt locals' pub on the Frankwell side of the river, with a room either side of the bar - pool and darts in the rear one. Seems to have regular entertainments judging from the posters. Beers as described below and in fair condition.

A large and rather salubrious Brunning & Price house by the river, apparently in an historic building but thoroughly refurbished. It has a very select interior with a country house feel, lined with bookshelves and laid out with posh tables. The nice ... [more>]

A rather unprepossessing pub on the busy main road by the river, with a slightly naff red-painted and plastic interior. However it is totally exonerated by the well-kept and changing range of beers on offer. Definitely a 'must-visit' in Shrewsbury, e... [more>]

A slightly-rambling old-school Spoons hotel with library-era décor, in a slightly-rambling old hotel building. With the autumn festival on it was a bit difficult to tell what the normal ale selection is, but it did include some local brews. Service s... [more>]

Much modernised pub with a huge bee / fly mural on the outside wall. It's all one room now, but with several different areas. There's a pool table and a dartboard to the right. There's also some stupid wallpaper with wine bottles on it, it's almost a... [more>]

The Salehurst Halt has an L-shaped interior with fixtures and décor that one would expect in any self-respecting country local. To the right of the entrance is a fireplace and some seating, but most of the seating is down the left-hand wall, faced by... [more>] |
