A spectacular location overlooking the entrance to Langstone Harbour, and they make the most of it with plenty of outside seating. Even from inside, there is a grand roofed orangery at the apex of the single, large, L-shaped bar, and there are large... [more>]

This place used to be Room and to be honest it hasn't changed all that much. It's very pretentious and massively overpriced. Almost £5 for a 330 ml bottle anyone? It is a great looking room though, especially the ceiling and there's a huge fireplace.... [more>]

I walked into this place expecting to see a load of crafty beers on tap but, unless I wasn't looking hard enough, I only saw bottles and cans in the fridges. There where, however, 3 handpulls but not the most interesting of choices as only one was on... [more>]

This pub isn't very far out of town, but it is all uphill to get here. A very pleasant pub on the inside with two distinct areas. The front area is a lounge and the rear more of a tap room with a dartboard and pool table, along with a large TV screen... [more>]

This place didn't look to inspiring as I approached as it looked, like a lot of places in Salford Quays area, a modern monstrosity. Inside was as I expected though 3 handpulls on the bar were a surprise. The place is open plan with one side basically... [more>]

A Shepherd Neame house with Spitfire, Whitstable, Bishops Finger and Masterbrew available. A traditional pub decor - wood panelling, tiling, several small spaces that may at one point have been separate bars. Has a dartboard, TVs for sport, and Open ... [more>]

A Fullers pub, a home of sports and live music as well as the BeaRCat Running Club which meets here on a Sunday morning. London Pride and Front Row were the only ales available and Front Row did not have its own pump clip - it was palatable nonethele... [more>]

Mostly laid out for food and decorated in a modern style with pale walls, the Rising Sun is also very much a pub, with Watneys Pale Ale and Oakham Citra on pump as well as a range of tinned beers and whiskies behind the bar. There is an outside area ... [more>]

Small one room conversion of former bank with a rather bare light wood finish contrasted with a couple of black wood tables. Sadly the one handpump is unused with keg Worthington creamflow the only bitter amongst the few lagers (and Guinness). Presum... [more>]

Slightly tucked away off the main street but I was quite impressed to find a good and proper pub, nicely furnished and well-kept. There are several areas around the bar, opening out backwards to a function room at the rear. Food is available all day,... [more>]

The Victoria is a Bed & Breakfast hotel without a public bar. A newspaper article says that they are going to open a members only night club in April (but, as the article said April 1st, I wouldn't guarantee its truthfulness!).
