A family run pub in a small secluded village, rather endangered through lack of custom; opening hours are already restricted. There is a small carpark at the front, and you enter the pub down through a concreted set of terraces that put me in mind o... [more>]

A charming timber-framed pub in this verdant Cambridgeshire village - all the houses are set back from the road with wide grass verges in front. This was probably a two-roomer once upon a time - upon entering you can go through a door on the right ma... [more>]

Handpulls removed so therefore no more real ale. 13/9/17: Opened and not as good as it was. There are still 4 handpumps but the introduction of a pool table and incessant Kiss FM-type music being played has sort of done it for me. That said, its not... [more>]

A small corner micro. The place is on 2 levels with the bar area up a few steps. There were 3 handpulls with the 3 on with local breweries supplying the beers. Its nice enough and worth popping in for a drink.

A basic rough 'n' ready boozer and one that is now the only survivor of what were once 3 pubs within 50 odd yards of each other. Its really only for locals and its not worth the journey to it. No real ale so its bland fizzpops.

A prominent pub in an idyllic setting on the banks of the Severn, it’s a substantial red brick building with an extensive garden along the river’s edge and this was very busy even on a recent mid-week lunchtime visit. I didn’t inspect the menu, but t... [more>]

The Boars Head is now open again. Called in around 1pm today (16-5-18) and although it as a bistro feel it is still a pub but sadly there was no cask beers on the go.

Refurbished corner pub near the underground station (formerly The Horns) with a partially opened-out bar and rear room leaving the counter within an island. Mix of seating around the various tables, most of which seemed to be reserved for groups par... [more>]

Basic East End boozer with dark external paintwork with a simply decorated 'L'-shaped bar, with a limited amount of semi-modern furniture and a large fireplace. Also has a small patio beer garden under commando netting 'vegetation'. No real ale of ... [more>]

A nice little pub out in the sticks, the front public bar is slightly rustic with dark wooden beams and uprights with plentiful horse brasses attached. The flooring is wooden, the walls a mix of exposed brick, plaster and wood paneling, the bar feature... [more>]
