The Bull Hotel

A fairly generic town centre pub once you are inside. The servery is to your left and the interior is long and thin but it extends out at the far end of the bar. Lots of people watching the Villa/WBA playoff. Beers were from Marstons. Its not a bad p... [more>]

The closest pub to the castle and the bustling Ludlow Spring Festival site. Open plan with an upstairs part I never ventured to. It was my last pub of the day here so sadly it was only a short visit. It seemed fine and there were about 3 real ales av... [more>]

A pleasant enough pub. An L-shaped bar with a variety of areas to sit. There were 4 real ales to choose from and beers were, as usual on my Ludlow visit, from Wye Valley and Ludlow. Worth a visit.

Large and impossible to miss if you've ever driven through Warwick, the Punch Bowl is a traditional and imposing boozer with a very dull, older refurbished interior. The welcome was friendly enough and there was plenty of banter with the pool players... [more>]

A quirky, terraced boozer just out of the town centre. The welcome here was very friendly and the clientele mixed ranging from students to us old lags. Nonetheless, the bar area is small enough to encourage general chat helped along by those working ... [more>]

Well described by the skipper and others below, I'd head for the boaters bar rather than the lounge for atmosphere and chat. Beers on were: Blue Bell Gold Flash, Slaters Nelson Sauvignon, Doom Bar and Wye Valley HPA. We gave the pub brewed Gold Flash... [more>]

A large and imposing village gastropub with a modern interior split between a smaller bar area and larger dining sections. We came to eat and the food was fine without being spectacular in terms of either quality or value. Service though was excellen... [more>]

Inevitably well reviewed and it was busy on our early Saturday evening visit with seating at a premium and a queue at the bar. With good reason. Beers on were: Thornbridge Wild Raven, Oakham Heights of Oblivion, Dr Mortons Clown Poison, Pershore Man ... [more>]

A fairly standard wine bar in an interesting building. It was very quiet on our Thursday, early evening visit, but was beginning to fill up by the time we were leaving. Nothing of note décor wise, but it does look quite inviting when it's lit up. No ... [more>]

a landmark pub and the beautiful interior remains unspoiled. Sadly I can’t really say the same for the pub which feels half arsed and definitely not somewhere that you want to stay for long. The continental style seating outside is far more popular t... [more>]

A Freehouse with a sizable plot, The Exhibition has a bar in a room on the left-hand side on entry, with what appears to be a function room to the right in an "added on" bit and a nice beer garden out back. Lots of cosy paraphernalia in an around the... [more>]
