this used to be a Last Orders and it's certainly much better than it was then. but it's still a pretty sterile, uninteresting place. 4 pumps dispensing the same ales you find in every other pub in Lancaster. feels more wine bar than pub.

a really pleasant city centre pub that attracts an older, mostly local crowd. friendly and cosy inside with two rooms. outside there's a very nice beer garden at the back which is extremely well cared for, unlike the exterior of the pub which is look... [more>]

I think this may be closed but can't say with any confidence. just not seen it open in a long time. was a pretty dire place for the pretentious end of the Lancaster market and certainly won't be any loss to beer lovers.

it's truly awful, a seedy little dive that really takes me back to my earlier student days when I really didn't care where or what I drank.
The New Inn

The New Inn

NorwichNorfolk

Recommended by E TA

Possibly Norfolk’s least welcoming pub, this riverside pub refused to let us moor even for a quick pint, saying that all their moorings were reserved (they remained empty for 2 days) and wouldn’t let dogs in. The staff were very brusque when we did ... [more>]

As the other reviewers below mention the Black bull scores above other pub establishments in Haworth as it does have a genuine connection to the local Bronte family being the establishment where Bramwell drank himself to madness, and therefore the Br... [more>]

Large modern pub in Hungry Horse chain so primarily a family dining sort of establishment, however the right hand side of the bar has more of a pubby feel with pool and sports tv. It does have the benefit of a car park and large outdoor area however.... [more>]

Nice little local pub with a slightly confined feel from the internal pillars and walls, probably from its considerable age, although the front room has more windows and a brighter feel. Beers still Courage Best and Proper Job, with a third not on at... [more>]

One large room with the copper brewing kit at one end and various low and high tables throughout the rest, with a heavy assortment of decorative clutter. the long bar had an impressive group of handpumps serving their various ales - those sampled wer... [more>]

Good Wadworth's pub with a friendly welcome and well-kept beer, with entrances at either end. Interior pleasant, although perhaps a bit too 'designed by head office', but would be happy to spend more time there.
Steam Bristol

Steam Bristol

Large pub rebuilt from the original station buildings, clearly aiming at the student market, with a dark, slightly gothic sort of interior. Outside there is a vast canopy covering assorted lounge furniture, which is an extremely pleasant place to sit... [more>]

The W.G. Grace (JD Wetherspoon)

Fairly typical medium-sized Wetherspoon's, which has a small low ceilinged part at the front but opens out into a nicer room behind. Tables outside at front also - one side smoking and one side not. Range of beers was passable if not over exciting bu... [more>]

Long narrow pub with bare floorboards and a dark interior. Seemed very friendly but the Wickwar BOB sampled was not in the best of condition. Not over-impressed.

Reopened as the Haworth Steam Brewing Co in February 2017 it is now an interesting café / bar with a decent real ale and Gin menu. It’s a fairly small space internally with the interesting design bar facing you as you enter with four ale and one cide... [more>]
