I can confirm every word that the previous reviewer wrote and would just like to add a few things. There are four pumps and Sharp's Doombar (Coore), Ringwood Best Bitter (Marstons, Ringwood Fortyniner (Marstons) and Hop Back Summer Lighting that won three Camra gold medals are very well-kept:fresh, not too cold, not gassy. Warsteiner seems to be particularly popular in Parkstone and is also served over the road at the Bermuda Triangle. Please be aware that Mon-Fri the pub is shut between 2.30 and 5 and that children are only permitted in the outside areas till 21.00.

This pub has a very cosy atmosphere: there is a log-fire and a quaint bar area. I strongly recomend the armchairs in front of the fireplace. Bring a book and relax. Staff is friendly. I haven't seen the garden but the extension is not so nice. There is a good choice of real ale. I had Doombar which was fresh. As I did not have to sit in the extension my overall experience was excellent.

Backstreet pub overlooking the church opposite. Enter via lovely wood and glass lobby porchway into a fairly homely main bar. Pub is an elongated L-shape and the front room is decorated with various tasteful objects d’art, fireplace and some chesterfields. To the rear is a far more mundane extension. Four ales on and not a particularly exciting selection in Doom Bar, 2x Ringwood and a somewhat more inspirational Hop Back Summer Lightning, sadly this was a bit thin on condition and died in the glass. Judging by reviews elsewhere this selection doesn’t seem to change much. Tidy enough place but no great shakes on my visit compared to some of the lavished praise elsewhere.
