The ten strong stag party I was with on Saturday night ended up spending most of the night in Sherbet as it was the more comfortable of the late bars in the area and the bouncers did a good job in keeping out the nutters. The left hand side is a dance floor and although I liked the retro music I managed to avoid chucking any shapes whilst being choked by the overactive smoke machine. The right hand side of the building is made up by different areas of sofa seating. Annoyingly after spending an hour sitting in one of these areas one of the members of staff stuck a reserved sign up and moved us on at 22:00 which I found a little out of order. Another larger section was reserved and the party using it didn’t come into the bar until 23:00 so heaven knows what time this place actually shuts.
The bar on the rear wall is stocked with standard draught and Amstel is also available alongside cocktails and shots.
This was one of the better places we visited, but the only way I’d visited again is under duress as I’m the wrong side of thirty for this stretch of Bournemouth.
