Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lion & The Unicorn (JD Wetherspoon)
New 'spoons in The Sidings underneath platforms 20 to 24 but closer to the trains than the ginormous BrewDog bar. Given a modern look (as you would expect) with industrial ventilation, and jam-packed with tables, with external windows along one side and fronting the large walkway on the other. Nine different beers (including three dark ones) available from the two banks of six handpumps on this visit: Old Speckled Hen, Hobgoblin Ruby, Twickenham's Naked Ladies, Devon Darkness from Hanlons (£4.79) and East London Quadrant plus the usual trio of Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Abbot.

Pretty basic spoons with the exposed ventilation giving it a BrewDog lite feel. A screen above the bar was showing film from the 1951 festival of Britain from which the pub takes its name.

As described below, a large modern place in the former Eurostar terminal, which is being reinvented as a food/drink complex. The glazed walls give a fairly bright feel, despite the usual overhead industrial clutter, and it is quite spacious so no problem finding a table. The staff seem to be just about getting the hang of service by now. A reasonable guest ale selection was on offer, from Southwark, Portobello and Twickenham, with Titanic Plum Porter on the 'coming soon' list. Certainly handy as a meeting/eating place at Waterloo.
