Hard to find speakeasy (as they should be) hidden up a staircase above a shop front. Well described by Mr Fastard below its another nice one to take your other half to for a cocktail with a slight beer interest from the Peroni Grand Reserva. Definitely a late night venue for your younger crowd.

This speakeasy has fooled me for several years.The small shop frontage has various barber's items dispayed in a rich,dark wooded screen,yet the door just mentions opening on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm until late in small lettering.This leads to a second floor bar featuring cocktails,wines and bottled beer with lots of muzak and a thirties theme.Walk ins are fine although don't expect to find any street advertising it's all word of mouth or instagram.I was told of this place when discussing venues for our annual Hertford Pub Crawl with the daughter of a friend of mine.I dont often visit barbers anyway.
During the week the venue can be hired ,it will be popular among the young and trendy and is part of the lively night time economy in Hertford.
UPDATE
Stylish and smart ,the main offering is cocktails with the only beer option a bottle of Peroni Grand Reserva which at 6.7% did hold some drinking interest.Quiet at a 9pm visit,the bouncer was underemployed but this is really a late night venue for a young,trendy crowd.I enjoyed my brief stay.
