After a quick visit to Sandown Pier and a walk alongside its fairly dilapidated seafront, we climbed back up the hill to the High Street in search of this new brewery pub.
Similar to a micropub in style, it does stretch back quite a way from the street and the rear part contains the brewing equipment. It seems that production levels have now outgrown the brewery and some of the beers are now brewed in tandem with Goddard's to keep up with demand.
Beers are all KeyKeg and the list comprised of Prism Concentric Flange, Thornbridge Green Mountain, Brew By Numbers Pornstar Martini, Boojum & Snark Barrister's Coffee Stout and a lager. Ciders were Snail's Bank Appley Dapply & Black Forest. I opted for the cider, which was nice, but served a little on the cold side. I nearly went for the stout, but assuming that would have been served at the same temperature, it would have been too cold for a beer I could enjoy.
The simple interior has local artwork on the walls and the premises are often used as a community space. On our visit, it was full of families. An interesting addition to the Sandown drinking scene, it is worthy of a visit.
