A large multi-area'd Marston house. Friendly - though corporate - service. Pretty busy on our early Thursday evening visit. Unusable dart board (table in the way) pool table and sports TV (silent). Light wood and ‘warm’ colour shades plus some nice cornices if you stare upwards. Food offered. Three (if I recall) Marston list ales at the bar, my EPA was in decent shape. Decent all-rounder this one if not exactly a speciality visit.

There was a dart match in progress that generated a good atmosphere during my recent week night visit to the Bull and Bush. The board is located to the right of the entrance where there is also a pool table. I didn’t spot any Sky Sports advertisements or note the presence of any plasma screens, but there was some background music playing. A weekly quiz is advertised for every Thursday from 21:00. The bar is stocked with standard draught and one of the three hand pumps was unused leaving Marston’s Old Empire and Jenning’s Lakeland Stunner as the ale options. Cheap pub grub is available.
This is a decent enough pub and I’d have no problem popping in again if passing.
