The interior betrays the club origins although recently modernised and much less bleak than many clubs. The servery is large and square, a nice wooden job with a scaffolding foot rail and proper coat hooks, there’s a smaller area to the right where there is a pizza kitchen, a few seats, screen and the stairs up to the toilets and a big pool room. To the left is a seating area with a mix of booths, banquettes and tables an chairs, there’s a couple of big screens one on sport the other on Ceebeebies, well it was early and there were kids in. The servery is basically two mirror image counters, twelve handpulls are doubled up so six beers to choose from; Taylors, Kirkstall, Vocation, Wainwright and a house badged beer probably from Concept, there are 15 keg taps per side, same beers each way and mostly well known brands. The seating area is low ceilinged with grey beams supporting the mezzanine floor forming the pool room, walls are wood clad or papered, lighting from Edison lights dangling from cable tray and industrial conduit. There’s constant piped music too. It’s ok, the beer is average.
