A cosy little wine bar on the edge of the town centre, which happily finds space for 3 handpumps and is basking in its Good Beer Guide listing. There is just room for 6 tables, plus a stooled shelf at the front. Ales change regularly, although Wensleydale brews are often featured - on this visit two of theirs plus a delicious Two Brothers Sticky Toffee Porter. It is definitely worth a look in to check out what beers are on. Food is tapas style but looked superb.

Arriving back into Richmond, we'd booked a table to eat and drink here in advance, albeit only 30 minutes in advance! The bar was actually fully booked, but they had just enough time to squeeze us in for an hour. This was all we really needed for a quick pint and a bite to eat, as the tapas comes quickly. If coming here during the evening, I would definitely advise booking. You'll have to be really lucky to grab the two stools at the bar!
Inside is a small room with around 5-6 tables, the bar on the rear wall, with a toilet one side of it and the kitchen on the other. It really is micropub size.
3 local ales were on. These were Wensleydale Empty Sky & Desperado & Mithril Flower Power. As the name suggests, there is also a good gin selection. My Desperado was in good condition and we also enjoyed the tapas.
I concur with Old Boots that this is first and foremost a restaurant. But the real ale selection makes it worthy of a visit. An afternoon may be a quieter and better time to come. The bar appears in the Good Beer Guide. I'd imagine the local CAMRA branch have to book the place out when they make an appearance.

Small tapas bar cum micro bar, that order is deliberate. A small square room with the counter at rear. Small tartan clad banquettes on the two sides at square tables and there’s a drinking shelf in the front window. Three well kept local beers on the counter.
