What might almost be a classic pub interior, with wooden screens creating areas of privacy and coloured glass for decoration, though it's quite clearly a former shop unit - the counter would not look out of place in an old betting shop, or could it be a pawnbroker, with those bars. But behind the perspex screen is a row of 10 keg taps. I didn't see anything I really fancied as most of the beers were either mainstream or American or both. I managed to get myself talked into a beer from Dry & Bitter (a Danish brewery) called Undulate Stout 5.8%, which I read subsequently "has a smooth oaty body, notes of dark chocolate and features tart black cherry juice." (No mention of it being cold and fizzy.) And then after asking for a third of a pint I found that I'd been poured two-thirds (I blame it on the perspex screens) which I found a bit of a struggle to drink, what with it being so cold and fizzy. I'm obviously not of the demographic that the Glass Spider is aimed at, though the young man who served me - who confessed that he was also a real ale fan - was very friendly and helpful. It was a fairly quiet early evening when I was here, with some quite interesting background music and a good atmosphere, but I imagine it can get busy later.

Was closed today at 2pm but according to Whatpub should have opened at 12pm however i glanced through the window and saw axes, fake animal skins large horns and lots of other Viking items in fact it looked like an up market version of the Flintstones cave. This is a Viking Tapas bar but from what i can gather there is more emphasis on the bar side rather than the tapas. Around 4 beer taps but i think the in drink is the mead which is served in a large horn.
