As stated, The Halkett is a pub seemingly created out of adjacent buildings, with various different drinking areas as a result, as well as some outside seating on a quiet street. It was disappointing to find just the one cask ale in this Liberation house - the IPA, which was so-so. There were plenty of keg options of course, including Liberation's Waverider Pale.
Service at the bar seemed to be on a part-time basis so, overall, not quite as good as I'd expected, unfortunately.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Halkett
Liberation Group pub seemingly created from two adjacent buildings since there is a substantial wall and a step between the bar and the other seating / dining areas. Semi-modern furniture and decor in both parts, plus a few patio tables outside at the front. Two of three handpumps in use, offering the regular Ale (£4.05) and IPA.
